Service Description
Mauri Tau - Relaxation and Peacefulness *********************************************** This service is designed to āwhina (support) the tinana (body) into deep, soothing rest, allowing the hinengaro (mind) to unwind and let go. This rejuvenating mirimiri offers a well-deserved opportunity for retreat and restoration, held in a cosy, warm, and healing space — an ideal Mother’s Day escape. Perfect for mums needing time out — a chance to nurture their hauora (wellbeing) and step away from the outside world. The session begins with a warm, fragrant foot soak using Epsom salts, essential oils, and native botanicals. As the body softens, a nurturing mirimiri is applied to the hands. From there, the experience flows into a full-body mirimiri using warmed oils, rongoā balms, and heated marble stones, gently guiding mum into mauri tau — a peaceful, settled state. Soft background sounds support the release of stress and tension, while a soft wool underlay adds comfort to the mirimiri table. This session is designed to relax the body while allowing mauri (life force) to flow and replenish. The experience concludes with a fragrant herbal tea by local provider Timmy Smith and a nourishing fruit smoothie.
Cancellation Policy
Please read before booking. Your appointment time is reserved just for you. Preparation begins before you arrive, so we ask that you book mindfully. 1) Cancellations We do not offer refunds for cancellations, change of mind, sudden circumstances, or illness. However, we do offer flexible options where possible. a) If you cancel more than 48 hours before your appointment, you may choose to: Reschedule within 3 months, gift your appointment to someone else, transfer the value to a Gift Card (valid for 3 months) or donate your booking to someone in need. b) If you cancel within 48 hours of your appointment, you may: Send someone else in your place (no loss of payment). If not, 50% of the booking fee is forfeited. The remaining 50% may be used to reschedule, gift, transfer to a Gift Card (valid for 3 months), or donate. 2) Rescheduling You can reschedule through the ‘view appointment details’ link in your confirmation email. Rescheduling is subject to availability. 3) Running Late Please text or call if you are running late. Session length may be reduced depending on schedule. No refunds for missed time. 4) No Shows If you do not attend and do not notify us, no refund or alternatives are offered. 5) Sick or Unwell Please do not attend in person if you are sick. You may reschedule, gift, transfer to a Gift Card (valid 3 months), or donate your session. 6) Recording Respect No audio, video, or photographs are permitted in sessions without clear permission from both client and practitioner. 7) If We Need to Cancel If we are unable to provide your service, we will contact you to make new arrangements, including offering a full refund if needed.
