Piritahi Marae, Waiheke Island This wānanga is for those who feel the call to deepen their practice of mahi ā wairua and strengthen the way they support the wellbeing of others. Participants will explore Māori understandings of healing and personal development through mātauranga Māori, experiential practice, and connection to the living world. Bringing together mātauranga Māori, experiential mahi ā wairua practice, and introductory rongoā Māori bodywork within marae setting. Across the two days, participants will explore how understandings such as Te Kore, Te Pō, Te Ao Mārama, wairuatanga, te taiao, mauri, hau, aroha, pūngao aho, whanake and hautūtanga can support wellbeing, growth, and the unfolding of a person’s potential. Maria Noone shares her Master’s research with kairongoā and mahi ā wairua practitioners working in their communities. Participants will engage in: - Exploring the tikanga of encounter and the deeper responsibilities within mahi ā wairua practice, and practitioner intention. - Understanding tapu, noa, mana, and karakia within healing spaces. - Reflection on insights from research with mahi ā wairua practitioners that support safe and culturally grounded engagement with clients. - Developing an integrated understanding of wellbeing encompassing wairua, hinengaro, tinana and whakapapa. - Guided mahi ā wairua practices connecting to te taiao and awakening intuitive sensing. - Learning a relational Te Ao Māori framework for wellbeing. - Practising the interpretation of tohu. - An introduction to foundational rongoā Māori bodywork. - Kōrero exploring tikanga of touch and respectful healing practice. - Waiata as a healing taonga Learning is supported through guided kōrero, experiential practice, reflection, and shared learning. PAYMENT OPTIONS Wānanga Fee $399 * Payment option 1: Full fee $399 at time of registering, or four weekly payments of $99.75. * Payment option 2: Student / Community Card holders $294. Pay in full at time of registering, or six weekly payments of $49. * Payment option 3: Tight Budget - If you would like to attend but are on a tight budget, email maria@whakapuawaiora.com and advise which fee option you fall into, and a suggested payment plan. Cancellation Policy

Please read these booking and cancellation terms. A copy is in the FAQs section of the website. 1) WHEN BOOKING A place in our schedule is reserved exclusively for the booking. Preparation for the appointment starts in advance of the appointment. We will be ready at the booked time. Please ensure you want to buy before you purchase. 2) CANCELLATIONS Cancellations, including change of mind, unforeseen circumstances, and unwellness, are not refunded. We understand 'stuff happens' and, where possible offer alternatives below. a) Cancellations with 48 hours prior notice, you can: Reschedule to a new date and time for use within 12 months, find another person to use your same booked date and time, transfer to a Gift Card for use within 12 months, or donate forward to a person in need of the service. b) Cancellations within 48 hours of a booked appointment, you can: Find another person to use your same booked date and time at no loss of payment. Otherwise, 50% of the $ value of the booking is forfeited. With the remaining balance, you can reschedule to a new date and time for use within 12 months, transfer to a Gift Card for use within 12 months, or donate forward to a person in need of the service. 3) RESCHEDULING Where rescheduling is possible, click the 'view appointment details' link in your confirmation email. Rescheduling is subject to availability. 4) BE ON TIME Refunds are not given for time missed. 5) NO SHOWS No refunds or alternative options are given for missed appointments without notification. 6) SICK If you are physically unwell you can: Reschedule to a new date and time for use within 12 months, find another person to use your same booked date and time, transfer to a Gift Card for use within 12-months, or donate forward to another person. 7) RECORDING There will be no photographs, video recordings or audio recordings of the workspace, discussions, treatment or work being undertaken during sessions without both the practitioner's and client's prior permission. 8) If we cannot provide service on your booked and paid-for appointment, we will contact you to make alternative plans, which may include a full refund.
